David W. Roda, CFA
Chief Executive Officer
David Roda's career in asset management spans more than two decades in affiliation with leading global financial institutions. His professional expertise is focused in the areas of quantitative portfolio management strategies and securities analysis. Prior to founding RAM in 2008, David served for almost four years in Germany as Global Head of Portfolio Management and Quantitative Analysis for Allianz Dresdner Bank's Private & Corporate Client division (PCC). Prior to that post he served 6 years as the Regional Chief Investment Officer in charge of the Americas for Dresdner's PCC division. David has also worked as a senior investment officer with other leading financial institutions. He spent five years with Bankers Trust Company of Florida as Chief Investment Officer for the Southeast United States, and worked as a financial consultant and portfolio manager for Salomon Smith Barney. He was employed at Southeast Bank, NA as the Head of Equity Research, where he oversaw equity research and selection for the Trust Department. He also managed the bank's commingled equity fund. He started his career in 1986 as an equity research analyst with Wachovia Bank. He has earned an MBA from Emory University and earned a BBA in Finance from Loyola University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member and former president of the Miami Financial Analyst Society. David, originally from Griffin, Georgia, has lived and worked in the US, Europe, and Latin America.
Nicholas G. Moss
Operations Officer
Nicholas Moss joined Roda Asset Management as Operations Officer in October of 2008. His primary responsibilities include account administration and client services. He is also involved in the formulation and maintenance of the firm’s marketing documents and compliance policies and procedures. Prior to joining Roda Asset Management, Nicholas worked at The Coral Gables Trust Company for two years, assisting in daily operations and portfolio creation. Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Miami and a minor in Business Management & Operations. Nicholas is a native of Miami.
David Paikin
Foundation Liason
David Paikin has spent over twenty-five years working with Foundations, wealthy individuals, corporations and institutions assisting them in meeting their philanthropic needs. Prior to joining Roda Asset Management, David was the Florida Regional Director for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and the Senior Executive Director for Major Gifts at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. David was the Foundation Director for the United Jewish Community of Broward County from 1997 to 2004. During his tenure, the Foundation’s asset grew from $20 million to over $70 million. From 1990 through 1996, David was the Campaign Director for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. David also served as the Western Regional Director fort he United Jewish Appeal. David earned a BBA from University of Miami, major in Accounting and minor in Finance and a JD from Pepperdine University School of Law. David recently served on the Executive Committee for the National Committee of Planned Giving of Broward County.
Dennis Bergman
Quantitative Analyst – Consultant
Dennis Bergmann is currently working towards his PHD in Frankfurt, Germany in the field of finance. He speaks both English and German.
